The 8th World Humanities Forum Call for Papers
The 8th World Humanities Forum aims to provide a space for intellectual dialogue and exchange by bringing together scholars from Korea and abroad who are engaged in critical inquiries and creative research on the following themes. We warmly invite the active participation of humanities scholars and all who recognize the vital role of the humanities.

Proposal Submission Guideline
1. Theme
<Main Theme> The Humanities in the Age of AI Transformation: Approximately 9 General Sessions
<General Theme> Exploring Paths to Coexistence: Approximately 9 General Sessions
2. Participants
o General Session Presenters: Approximately 36 domestic scholars, 36 international scholars
3. Key Dates
o Proposal Submission: June 9 (Mon) - June 22 (Sun), 2025
o Notification of Selection Results: August 1 (Fri), 2025
o Final Paper Submission Deadline: September 30 (Tue), 2025
4. Manuscript Guidelines
o Proposal: Around 1,500 words in English or 2,500 characters in Korean
※ To be submitted via the World Humanities Forum website (www.whf.kr)
o Final Paper: Around 4,000 words in English or 8,000 characters in Korean
※ All abstracts and papers will be included in the Forum’s digital proceedings
o The official languages for presentations: Korean or English
※ AI interpretation will be provided for all sessions.
5. Conditions and Support
o All forum participants are required to stay on-site for the full duration of the forum and attend sessions and networking events.
o Domestic scholars will receive an honorarium and full accommodation and meals for the duration of the forum.
o International scholars will be provided with round-trip travel expenses(or honorarium), full accommodation and meals, and a local tour.
