The World Humanities Forum is a venue where leading humanities scholars from diverse cultural backgrounds come together to deepen their awareness of the challenges facing humanity, share their wisdom, and generate new discourses. The 8th World Humanities Forum, to be held in Andong, South Korea, from November 4 to 6, 2025, will focus on providing a platform for academic exchange and networking among scholars from Korea and abroad. Held in Andong, a city rich in both tangible and intangible humanities heritage at every corner, this forum will be a memorable celebration, where participants can share new academic insights and immerse themselves in the fragrance of tradition.
The theme of the 8th Forum is “The Humanities in the Age of AI Transformation: Exploring Paths to Coexistence”. Centered around the two key topics of ‘AI’ and ‘Coexistence’, this forum seeks to deliver messages that speak to the urgent need of our times. We aim to offer humanistic reflection on the paradigm shift brought about by the AI-a transformation that is fundamentally reshaping both society and individual lives. At the same time, in an era marked by escalating conflict and discord, we hope to amplify the voice of the humanities in pursuit of coexistence.
As humanity rushes forward, driven by material values, without knowing its destination, the 8th World Humanities Forum offers a space to share thoughts and aspirations to nurture solidarity and fellowship. We sincerely invite the active interest and participation of esteemed scholars of the humanities who are dedicated to exploring fundamental questions of meaning and value. Thank you.
Sincerely yours,
